Hiljaisuus tarkoittaa sitä, kun pennut yhtä lukuunottamatta ovat lähteneet omiin koteihinsa ja kaikki ne elämisen äänet, jotka liittyvät pentujen elämiseen, ovat poissa. Koti tuntuu hiljaiselta. Luulen, että aikuiset koirat ovat erittäin tyytyväisiä tästä "hiljaiselosta", kun on enään kaksi toheloa jaloissa kieppumassa.
On totta, että eläimen omistaminen ja pitäminen vaatii/vie paljon aikaa, rahaa. Miten mitata se, mitä eläimeltä saa takaisin? Millä mitta-asteikolla mitataan se tunne, kun koira katsoo silmiin ja ilmoittaa olevansa sinun? Tai kun hankala teini itsenäisesti alkaa huolehtia eläimestä ja saattaa vähän kerrassaan alkaa huolehtia omasta itsestään?
Eläimen omistaminen tarkoittaa jossain vaiheessa myös luopumista. Esim . koiran elämä on pisimmillään 17 v. Koira-ystävästä luopuminen on osa koiran omistamista. Eläinlääkäri mainitsi aikoinaan, että koiran tärkein asia on opettaa luopumaan....
